Empowerment Academy - High School Graduation Requirements

Graduation caps being thrown

Mastery-Based Curriculum

At Empowerment Academy, we believe that school is for the student, not the other way around.

Thanks to flexible and individually designed curriculums, our graduation requirements are mastery-based instead of being determined only by the number of credits earned. With college courses acting as our main core curriculum, we want students to be able to spend more time on the things that they want to learn instead of just things that they are required to learn.

EAAZ Graduation Requirements

All college-level courses must be completed with a final grade of C or higher to count for credit.

(Each one semester college course counts for a full high school credit)

Each graduating student needs only to meet one of the following requirements in each subject.

Foreign Language:

Not Required for graduation, but recommended for non-college programs**

**Many colleges like to see 2 credits of Foreign Language on high school transcripts.

Students in any College-Track program will be entering future colleges as a college transfer student instead of an incoming freshman, so admission will be based on the student's community college transcript instead of their high school transcript.
